NFC Wrap-up

Well we've gone through all 16 NFC teams with our season previews, so here is a rundown of what we think will happen.

Ian's Predictions:
NFC East
Dallas (11-5)
Washington (10-6)
New York Giants (8-8)
Philadelphia (7-9)

NFC North
Green Bay (11-5)
Minnesota (9-7)
Detroit (6-10)
Chicago (5-11)

NFC South
New Orleans (9-7)
Tampa Bay (8-8)
Carolina (8-8)
Atlanta (5-11)

NFC West
Seattle (11-5)
Arizona (9-7)
St. Louis (7-9)
San Francisco (3-13)

Playoffs:
1. Dallas
2. Seattle
3. Green Bay
4. New Orleans
5. Washington
6. Arizona

Round 1: Green Bay over Arizona, Washington over New Orleans
Round 2: Washington over Dallas, Seattle over Green Bay
Championship: Washington over Seattle

Yes, I know this is a risky prediction, but there is no singular team in the NFC that is head and shoulders above every one else. As we saw last year, a team with solid defense and that can score enough to win can make a run through the playoffs. As a side note, the last 3 Super Bowl champions (Pittsburgh, Indy, NY Giants) came from seeds 3-6.

John's Predictions

NFC West

Playoffs:
1. Dallas

3. New Orleans
4. Green Bay
5. Washington
6. Detroit

Round 1: New Orleans over Detroit, Washington over Green Bay
Round 2: Washington over Dallas, Seattle over New Orleans
Championship: Seattle over Washington

First off, I have to say I struggled between Detroit and Arizona for the #6 seed. I know many people aren't high on Detroit, but I have a feeling they could win 5 0f 6 division games, whereas the Cardinals could legitimately lose all 6 - that's my reasoning. That said, I also like Washington to surprise many. While I hate putting the Seahawks in the super bowl, I believe back-to-back games in (likely) wintry G.B. and against rival Dallas will drain too much energy from the Redskins.
