Total Defense: 13
Run Defense: 18
Pass Defense: 12

Offense

The Redskins sold the farm to move up in the draft and take Heisman Trophy winning QB Robert Griffin III from Baylor. They went out in free agency and brought in a slew of receivers for Griffin, including Josh Morgan from San Francisco and Pierre Garcon from Indianapolis. The running game will be the typical Mike Shanahan russian roulette game. The Skins have some playmakers on offense, but their line isn't the best and will be the dealbreaker for the offense.

Defense

The Redskins have a decent defense, but playing in the brutal NFC East leaves them with a hard road to keep things competitive. They have a solid 1-2 punch of pass rushers in Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan who combined for 16.5 sacks last season. They will need to keep up the heat on opposing quarterbacks as their secondary isn't the best in the world.

Intangibles

Live by RGIII, die by RGIII.

Prediction

They should be better than last year, but still not quite good enough to get over the hump and into the race for the NFC East crown. They will pull a few upsets during the year. 6-10
