SPONSORED: Five Reasons This Could Be The Steelers Year

The Steelers currently sit at 11-5 and are AFC North Champions. There’s plenty of reasons why Pittsburgh fans can feel good about the Steelers’ chances this year. Here’s five reasons why this could be a Super Bowl season for Pittsburgh.

1. Their First Playoff Game is at Home
After closing the season with 4 straight wins, the Steelers will take the field in front of their home crowd for the first round of the playoffs. The Steelers were 6-2 at home this season, and you know the Heinz Field faithful are going to have their terrible towels out and ready to rage.

2. Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches in football.
What makes the playoffs? It’s the even competition, the outdoor winter elements, the pressure, the knowledge that when so many games will be decided by a razor-thin margin, one mistake or ill-fated decision can doom a team’s chances. Steelers fans should rest assured knowing Tomlin is not only a brilliant strategist, but a seasoned one, too. He’s got a Super Bowl ring on his finger for a reason, and he’d love another.

3. Our team has Antonio Brown and yours doesn’t
There’s a case to be made that he’s the most electrifying talent in footbll.

4. Oh yea, that Roethlisberger guy is pretty good, too.
Big Ben is actually getting better with age, throwing the ball for more yardage and with greater accuracy than he did in his 20s, you know, back when he won two Super Bowls. Winning a third Super Bowl would put Roethlisberger in some rarefied company and cement his legacy as one of the game’s all time greats.

5. Their defense is top ten against the run
When playoff games slow down and become a battle against the elements or a battle for field position, time of possession, most teams will rely on their running game to set the tone. The Steelers’ prowess in defending the rush will be essential to any playoff push they make.

That’s the Steelers’ five-point plan to another Super Bowl run. Want to be a part of it? Get Pittsburgh Steelers on ScoreBig.com where you’ll save on every NFL ticket, every day.
