Philadelphia decided to let Donovan McNabb go this offseason and invest their future in quarterback Kevin Kolb. Kolb was being groomed as the quarterback of the future in Philadelphia, and apparently the Eagles decided it was his time to develop rapport with young stars DeSean Jackson, Jeramy Maclin, and RB LeSean McCoy. With Kolb at the helm, McCoy should get a ton of carries this year. The problem is, the Eagles line is built for pass blocking and screen passes, not to be a run-first team. Michael Vick is still in the mix on offense as a playmaker/change of pace QB. The Eagles are loaded with speed on the outside, but Kolb's career TD-to-INT ratio is 4:7. Not exactly numbers that inspire confidence that the 25-year old will be able to lead the offense.

On defense, the Eagles boast some of the best pass-rushers in the league on the outside, but their linebacking corps is mediocre at best. The interior of their defensive line is the weak point of their defense, but they have enough speed at other positions to make up for it and keep their run defense strong. In the secondary, safety Nate Allen (South Florida) will provide an instant improvement to the secondary. With Asante Samuel, one of the top corners in the league, anchoring one corner, the Eagles secondary is a solid group capable of covering any receiving group in the league. The Eagles needed to add talent to this unit with the caliber of receivers in their division.

In the end really, Philly sucks. It's a shitty city.

They booed Santa. Come on.

You didn't really think we'd get through a Philadelphia preview without posting that.

Ian's Prediction: 6-10
